Quarantine Kahoot

Hello families!

El Kahoot és una molt bona eina per repassar/treballar continguts de manera divertida i challenging. Als alumnes els encanta i més d'un heu preguntat "com funciona". A continuació trobareu una petita guia per posar en marxa Kahoots a casa!

No és una plataforma exclusiva per l'Anglès; hi ha milers de Kahoots sobre múltiples temes i idiomes, per tant, el podeu fer servir per practicar coses de llengua, mates, ciències... o simplement per passar una bona estona plegats. 

1. Aquest joc funciona en qualsevol dispositiu conectat a internet. 
1. Qui faci de "profe" ha d'anar a KAHOOT.COM
2. Qui faci de "concursant" ha d'anar a KAHOOT.IT

Aquesta es la pantalla del "concursant". HA D'ESPERAR per escriure el PIN.

Sortirà aquesta pantalla. Fem click a LOG IN WITH GOOGLE. Iniciem sessió amb el nostre compte de gmail personal.

Un cop accedim, molt segurament ens sortirà aquesta pantalla. Fem click a CONTINUAR GRATIS

Un cop dins, farem click a DISCOVER per buscar kahoots sobre qualsevol tema.

Busquem al cercador i prenem tecla ENTER

A continuació ens surten tots els Kahoots disponibles sobre Animals. Hi ha més d'un milió. Anem baixant i fem click sobre el Kahoot que vulguem jugar.

Un cop fem click sobre un Kahoot podrem veure les preguntes que conté i així decidir si el volem jugar o no (no sempre les preguntes responen al nivell del nen/a, per tant és important llegirles primer). Un cop ho tinguem clar farem click a PLAY.

Ara si ja estem preparats per començar. Ja ens surt el PIN que han de copiar "els concursants" a les seves pantalles.
Un cop hagin posat el PIN i el nickname fem click a START i a jugar!

Second Grade Quarantine Homework

Hello everyone!

Seguim treballant el tema dels àpats. A la pàgina 49 del llibre de color trobareu el vocabulari; canviarem TEA per SNACK, ja que nosaltres no tenim hora del té, però si hora de berenar!
Poden fer les activitats relacionades amb els àpats, també del "black and white book".

També teniu una proposta d'activitat per seguir treballant vocabulari relacionat amb el menjar i els pastissos. Han d'afegir al pastís dibuixat tots els ingredients que vulguin. S'ha de pintar i elaborar una llista d'ingredients que trobarem al pastís!

També practicarem el temps prenent nota des de la finestra! He preparat una chart que podeu imprimir o fer servir d'exemple per elaborar la vostra pròpia, on podran anotar en anglès el temps que fa aquests dies. Teniu un exemple a la mateixa graella.

The Skull

This happened October during a Science lesson in Second Grade. We were talking about the body and its bones and then somebody asked if the head was a muscle or a bone. That was an easy question for me to answer... but the concept was quite hard for them to imagine. Was at that very moment when I remembered that we are blessed to have an ESO Teacher that is weird enough to own a real skull donated to science/teaching!! Second Graders were amazed by that piece and it lead us to talk about it until the school bell came in. Such a great lesson.

The Body!

Second Graders continue learning about their own body and its parts! These pictures show the process of making Lucas' silhouette and its proper labeling.  

The Muscles!

Second Graders learnt some new muscles the other day in Science class. We draw a real size kid and placed all the muscles on it so we can remember them! Per pairs, they made muscle labels and we sticked on the wall at the end of the session. 

Good Posture

Second Graders are learning a lot lately in Science! Last week we saw the differences between a good and a bad posture.  Then we all got backpacked and checked if we were doing it right or wrong. Such a lovely lesson that day. 

Chalk Game!

Second Graders played the chalk game last week. It's a very simple game, but they love it. It works the following way: everybody stands in front of the blackboard, with a chalk and a tissue in each hand. Then they draw what I say and then we erase when I say ERASE!. They can be playing this for hours. I think it's a nice way for them to practice any vocab.

Popcorn!!

Second Graders had a salty afternoon last Friday. We did pop corn at school! Second Graders and I went to the kitchen to use the microwave. We saw and heard how popcorn is made and we learnt some new words: pop, white, soft, salty and little. We had a great time eating them while watching a short film!!

Pumpkin experience

This week we experimented with a real pumpkin. We touched it, smelled it and played with it. They really loved it. Orange and green were the main colors and we also learnt that its surface is rough.

Second Graders Writing!

Second Graders got into writing this week. They practiced by writing to their classmates some nice things.

Science!

This year I am fortunate enough to teach Science to Second Graders! This are the pictures of our two first lessons. We are learning about our body and the three main parts to divide it: Head, Trunk and Limbs.

One classmate (chose at random) laid on the floor and the rest drew the silhouette to have a real scale human body. Then we wrote the name of the parts and stuck them on the wall. Such a great lesson.
