Hunting Day!

Third Graders performed a hunting game last week. We worked on the clues and the images to hide, then the groups hide their images and gave the clues to the other groups so we could start the game. It was an honest success; they had fun and practiced the prepositions and locations without noticing. Here you have some pictures of the action!

translating the clues

they are ready for the hunting!

Lil' Companies 2

Do you remember the Company thing we're doing in Sixth Grade? Last week they officially presented their companies, slogans and posters!! Here you have some pictures of the action:

They prepared a slideshare presentation!

1, 2, 3... COME TO ME!!!!

I'm sure you all know Pica Paret... P5 Lions and Lady Lions played the English version of this popular game last week. We called it "One, two, three... Come to me!". They had a great time and practiced English, all in one.

Emotions!

Third Graders are working the emotions in class. They've done it in Catalan... and in English! The more they know, the better!
We've worked anger, happiness, sadness, shyness, anger, fear and surprised! The activity was the same than in Catalan; the students had to classify some pictures according to the emotion showed. Here you have some pictures of the action!

Reporters!

First Graders elaborated a complete list of all the spaces and key parts of the house. They wrote the words and then compare them to check the spelling. It was a hard activity for them but it felt easier just because they did it on the floor.

views from outside the class. Awesome glass painting there!

Good morning!

Each Infant Education lesson I teach in the morning starts the same way... Jelly Bean (the puppet) wakes every student up saying hello, good morning and how are you today? They reeeeeeeeally enjoy this dynamic so I decided to let them do it for me. It works, and its beautiful to watch!
Here you have 4 year old students practiceing:

Running Friday

So... what do you do with 26 Sixth Graders on a Friday afternoon? RUN. In order to review the content for the upcoming exam, 6th Graders performed a Running Dictation. Something old but gold.

True competition here

Even the guy in crutches wanted to play!

While one team mate is reading the wall, the others are writing all the words down

Song Check

Fifth Graders learned and sang one of my favourites songs. It's called Coldest Winter and it was made by Kanye West in 2008. They analized it and realized that it's a slow and sad song... it talks about a break up and how difficult will be for the guy to fall in love again.
We performed a listening activity with it and then we checked the lyrics on the blackboard/screen. I've spotted them singing the song around the school... couldn't be happier with them.

I love to use the projector this way... very versatile

The lyrics!

Little Shapes

3 year olds are learning the shapes! Square, Circle, Diamond and Heart are the protagonists. These very young learners painted the shapes to be hang around the class later on. They really enjoy to paint on the floor!!

SQUARE!

HEART!

DIAMOND!

CIRCLE!

Lil' Companies

Sixth Graders are really into companies right now. Some of them created companies in their free time and I just felt in love with the idea. There are different companies and each one offers a different product. I decided to let them develope this in the English time under one big condition... IT MUST BE IN ENGLISH!
Yesterday, in our first "company session" they worked on the Name, Slogan and Poster. They got really creative that day! I can't wait to see the final result.
Here you have some pictures of the action.

Discussing the slogan ain't easy! Nike didn't come up with "Just Do It" first try...

Busy hands are happy hands
