Boy and Girl

Three year olds dug deeply into the subject and played games to understand and see the difference between genders. They now understand who is a boy and who is a girl. It is so fun to shout "Girls go there" or "Boys do this" and see their understanding face while doing the action mentioned.

Blue, green and purple were the choice

The Silent Letters!

Third Graders discovered that in English there are letters that become silent sometimes. Working in groups they checked the spelling of every word and discussed witch ones were or weren't silent. Later on, they colored each different silent letters and listed the words. The task was quite hard, but they solved it like nothing... They are good!

The screen was very helpful that day!

Tiny people getting things done... that's beautiful scene right here.

I asked for fast finishers... I got four in a row. So blessed.

This little girl was pretty exited about that cake!

¡GOOD BYE!

Lab time!

Third Graders spent Friday afternoon in the language lab, learning and practicing the meaning and using of is and are. Those classmates that are fast finishers helped the rest. Cooperative learning, grammar and writing all in one.

Working together is easier!

Each child wrote between five and six sentences!

I have to say... I love when they are this focused!

Each student working on their own rhythm

That is a great cooperative learning scene

What am I?

We learned the genders with very young learners this past week. This seems easy, but it isn't! Girls knew they were girls and Boys knew they were boys. A really easy question to answer as an adult but a truly tricky one for very young learners!

To consolidate the learning, Girls painted a Girl Image and Boys colored a Boy Image. Later on, they switched papers and painted the other gender as well. They had big fun rolling and painting around the class floor! Aren't they cute?

HALLOWEEN IS COMING!

We learn the continents!

Fourth Graders took a trip around the world. Jumping from continent to continent we discovered all 7 and its main countries. Here they go: Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Oceania and Antarctica.

Then students chose a continent and a main country from that continent and developed a grill with key information, interesting facts and a handmade picture of its flag. To do this, the class was split into work groups. Each group had an Atlas and books to develop the task... but we all realized that we needed to use the computer. Two people from each group were allowed to use the computer for 10 minutes to find all the information needed.

When all the grills were ready, each group prepared a Presentation that was offered later for the whole class

Here you have some images of the action:
